We are blessed to live in a country where our vote, our opinion, and our belief means something. Getting involved is not only a responsibility, but an opportunity to make sure your voice gets heard.
We cannot continue to stand idly by as the laws of this land begin to contradict God's Word. It is time we stand up and start pushing back. We are not to stand beside the word of God or behind the word of God, but we are to stand firmly on top of the word of God. It is the firm foundation for which we live.
If there is an issue you feel strongly about, take the time to write your representative. After all, they are here to make sure your voice carries to Washington. Do not forget to also write them to show your thanks and support when they are fighting for a cause in which you believe.
We are currently in the middle of a very important issue that could change the face of this great nation forever. The Freedom of Choice Act (FOCA) threatens to take away many restrictions that currently governs abortions.
According to Americans United for Life (AUL), the Freedom of Choice Act would eliminate every restriction on abortion nationwide.
FOCA will do away with state laws on parental involvement, on partial birth abortion, and on all other protections.
FOCA will compel taxpayer funding of abortions.
FOCA will force faith-based hospitals and healthcare facilities to perform abortions.
As the body of Christ we must stand up together with one voice and defend God's word.
